Tim Flannery's "Here on Earth"

How refreshing to read an environmental scientist who is also big on hope. I’m fascinated by Flannery’s take on Charles Darwin as a “perpetual valetudinarian” who was challenged by the moral implications of his own theory of evolution; also by his rather scathing reading of Richard Dawkins. So... the earth is a living thing? Didn’t we sense it? Probably not well enough. Thanks, Tim Flannery, for some of the most engaging science writing I’ve read in a long while.
